What we do
We're a new club this year at Lakeside School in Seattle, WA focused on promoting basic tech repair skills--including phone screen repairs, battery replacements, laptop screen replacements, and more--to help our community recycle and repurpose broken technology. We combine our experience in different aspects of tech repair, as well as our peers' experiences, to teach and learn the best strategies for fixing technology. We are heavily inspired by the iFixit "right to repair" movement, and seek increased access to technology for all. Repair is a major avenue towards doing that, while also increasing our own understanding of how technology works on a basic level.
We would like to take a moment to thank all our members, as well as the Grotto at the Lakeside school for allowing us to borrow their materials and use their space to meet.
